In just a few weeks, I'll be packing up and hitting the long trail that extends between Thorp, Washington and Brooklyn, New York. Once there, I'll be installing and getting ready for Rural Famous, an exhibition of my work at 3rd Ward. The opening reception is on October 8th and the show runs through the end of the month. While the show is up, I'll be doing a month-long residency at 3rd Ward, during which I'll be drinking lots of cold Busch beer (or similar) and seeing how many words New Yorkers know for "hillbilly."

I will have work in an exhibition opening tonight at Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA. The show is titled Country Cousins: An Exploration of Comtemporary Frontier Myth and is curated by Howard Barlow. The exhibition includes work by Renee Adams, Howard Barlow, Lorraine Barlow, Justin Beckman, Nathan DiPietro, Natalie Dotzauer, Bill Finger, Justin Gibbens, Patricia Hagen, Eugene Parnell.
